How Ultrasonic Technology Works
An ultrasonic humidification system uses a piezoelectric translator to generate high-frequency mechanical oscillations in the water. Water tries to follow the high frequency oscillations, but due to the appropriate weight and mass, it cannot do so. This creates an instantaneous vacuum with a negative oscillation, causing the evaporating water to break down. The encoder follows this with positive oscillation, which creates high-pressure waves on the water's surface and releases tiny water vapor molecules into the air.

It is an extremely fine mist with a diameter of approximately 1 µm, which is quickly absorbed into the air flow. Because the nebula is caused by oscillations rather than heat, the water temperature does not increase.

An ultrasonic humidification system for this can create instant humidity, so there is no need to wait for the heating element to boil. This precise on and off humidity control is a special feature of ultrasonic humidifiers.
